Attractions
Visitors to
"Cranberry Country" can tour marshes, visit a museum, buy gifts
and even sample a variety of cranberry products. In addition, the
community is rich in historical attractions from the "Little Red
School House" and the Railroad Museum, to tours of the Amish country.
Recreational
opportunities abound in the area during all seasons. Winter features
downhill skiing, hockey, skating and great trails for snowmobiling and
cross country skiing. Hunting of all kinds span the seasons. In the
summer 10 parks and beautiful Lake Tomah provide a variety of activities
from hiking, camping, swimming, fishing, boating and biking on the nearby
nationally-known Elroy-Sparta Bike Trail. Great golfing, tennis, Olympic-size
swimming pool and other recreational activities and community events offer
plenty to do for both residents and visitors alike.

is proud of its history. Each August, during Gasoline Alley Day,
residents gather to remember a historic native son -- Frank King. King's
comic strip, "Gasoline Alley," was based on the lives of actual
Tomah residents!

Tomah's downtown,
to east side and north side, shoppers will find plenty of quality
merchandise, hometown friendliness and service, competitive prices and
ample parking. For those interested in antiques, a variety of wonderful
shops carry quality pieces and collectibles for the experienced and novice
collector. The Tomah area is home to a variety of craft and gift
stores, Amish and country products, and many other specialty stores
carrying a wide variety of distinctive and unique items.

shopping area, Tomah boasts a strong business climate with three
industrial parks, several major industrial firms and numerous trucking and
Interstate freight companies. With more than 2,000 acres of cranberry
marshes in the region, the Tomah area is an important player in the
