28 freshwater lakes, Eagle River offers endless water recreation

canoeing. Our lakes are known for their trophy-sized musky, walleye,
northern pike and bass. In the beautiful Nicolet National Forest you can
enjoy nature and wildlife as well as hundreds of miles of scenic trails
for biking, hiking, and cross-country skiing. For golfing enthusiasts, the
Eagle River area boasts some of the most beautiful golf courses in Northern Wisconsin. These golf courses will challenge you, whatever your skill level. Eagle
River becomes a wonderland for outdoor sports in the winter. In
addition to cross country skiing, ice fishing and snowshoeing, Eagle
River is known as the Snowmobile Capitol of the World. Our area has over 500 miles of beautifully groomed

River hosts the World Championship Snowmobile Derby.
